Qais joined Vertree in 2023 and provides analytics, trading and risk management for the EU and UK ETS. Prior to that he worked on the Carbon Desk at Mercuria Energy focusing on EU and UK compliance markets and renewable fuels. He holds a degree in Mathematics, Statistics, and Financial Engineering from Ecole Polytechnique Federale de Lausanne. His thesis explored Trading Strategies in the EUA Options Market.
